With its successful combination of historical architecture and the best in contemporary art, the Arnulf Rainer Museum in Baden is an exclusive venue for special occasions.
Since September 2009, Baden has operated a museum in honor of its famous son at Frauenbad, a magnificent 19th century structure in Neo-Classical style. This bath is not one for women as the name suggests but rather named after the nearby Frauenkirche (“Church of Our Lady”).
The museum achieves perfect harmony between the original historical structure and modern museum technology. The elegant building is an ideal venue for rotating exhibitions of Rainer’s large and multi-faceted oeuvre, including his famous “overpaintings”.
The 90-square-meter festival hall is the center of the Arnulf Rainer Museum. It can be rented along with the foyer as a perfect location for special events. Decorated in marble, the hall is suitable for cultural events such as readings or small theater performances and for smart presentations or celebrations.
